Discovering useful structures: Grammar

Part1. Get the Ss to review what subject is and what kind of words can be subject. And then say out their function of v-ing forms. 归纳1：动名词作主语的用法，动词不能做主语; V-ing形式能做主语

归纳2：

动名词作主语时，谓语动词用单数

句子有三种形式：

①动名词直接置于句首主语的位置上。

②用形式主语it，把真正的主语——动名词结构移置句尾。但这种句子形式有一定的限制，作表语的只能是某些形容词或少数名词，如useful，useless，good，fun；no use，worth等。

常用于下列句型中：

It is no use/good doing

做…没用

It is no pleasure doing做…不愉快

It is worthwhile doing做…是值得的

It is a waste of time doing做…是浪费时间的

③用于“There be”结构

常用于下列句型中：

There is no doing There is no use doing …

There is no point doing …

There is no sense doing …

Part2. Get the Ss to translate sentences and fill in the blanks according to the rules. Step Ⅳ Summary 1. V-ing位于句首，谓语动词用单数。
