I. Teaching aims 1. Knowledge aims

a. Enable Ss to listen, read and speak new sentences: I like…

b. Enable Ss to listen, read and speak new words: like, rice and hamburger. c. Enable Ss to read the English sounds “i” in closed syllable..

d. Enable Ss to say the chant “Rice and Ice Cream”.

2. Ability aims

a. Develop the abilities of listening, speaking and reading the words about food. b. Enable Ss to use the sentence pattern: I like… to express themselves.

3. Emotion aim

Develop students’ communication ability by expressing what they like.

II. Teaching key and difficult points 1.

Teaching key points a. Enable Ss to master the words “like, rice, and hamburger”.

b. Enable Ss to use the new sentences, “I like…” in the real life.

2. Teaching difficult points Let students know some basic change rules between singular number and plural number.

Word cards, pictures, and PPT. IV.Teaching procedures Step1: Warming up

1.Greetings.

2.Sing a song: Happy Birthday to You.

Step 2: Revision and Leading in

Revision：noodles, ice cream, cake, orange, apple, banana，etc. 1.Teacher shows the cards of foods, students read it fluently 2.Game:what’s missing?

Rules：Teacher shows the cards, the whole class read it together, then teacher hide one to two cards, students

guess what’s missing ? Teacher give one star for the winner. Step3: Presentation (一)

Words: hamburger, rice . Sentences :I like hamburgers. 1.Teach the words: hamburger, hamburgers. (1)Teacher shows the cards of hamburger ,teacher asks students：what’s this? And lead in “hamburger” .then learn it . (2)Teacher take a hamburger and say：“I like hamburgers.” Then write the words on the blackboard. And add “s” to hamburger. write down the meaning “I like”。At last, the whole class extension the sentence: Hamburger, hamburgers. I like hamburgers.

2. Teach the words :rice。

(1) Teacher shows the cards of rice，teacher asks students：

what's this？And lead in “rice”。Students should pay attention to the pronunciation of letter “i”.

(2) Teacher writes the word “rice” on the blackboard.

(3) Teacher guides students find the difference between “hamburger” and “rice”. Understand “countable noun” and “uncountable noun”.

3.Summary the rules about the noun. (1) Teacher writes the words :fish, apple, banana, egg, cake on the blackboard. And add “s” to the countable noun.

(2)Teacher asks students find the rules

(3)Teacher asks students answer its rules. (4)Teacher shows the cards, students make sentences

(5)Game——Who is fast。

Game：Teacher point the cards, who read it quickly and it will be the winner.

3. Text learning

1.Teacher asks students turn to page 16, then teacher plays the tape. 2.Teacher guides students know the meaning of the text.

3.Teacher play it three times, students imitate. 4.Role play: Read the text. 4. Learning the English sounds.

a.Show the letter i, and let Ss read it by themselves. Then present words “pig, fish, six, swim” on PPT. Play the video. Let Ss know the pronunciation of letter i in these words is /i/. b. Give some more words “sit, big,” Let Ss read these words by

themselves. c. Listen and follow. Step4: Extension

1. Play a game Each group sends one student to say the sentence “I like…”. The sentence shouldn’t be repeated. The student who says the sentence right gets one point for his group. 2. Finish “Look and say” on page 17.

3. Learn the chant: Rice and Ice Cream 4. Announce the winner group. Step5: Homework

1.Listen and follow P16 three times at least.

2.Finish the exercise book from Page14 to15.

3.Use “I like...” to express what you like.
