一、教材分析

本课是《新标准英语》小学三年级起始用四年级上册Module 3 Unit 1 What are they doing?

教学内容是延续Module 3继续学习现在进行时态,本课的主要语言功能是谈论人们在公园中的活动，并描述正在发生的行为或动作。主要句型是“What are they doing? They’re …”的学习与操练。这一题材非常生活化，是学生感兴趣的话题之一，它能使学生能学以致用。

二、学情分析

四年级的学生经过一年的英语学习后已形成了良好的英语听、说、读、写的习惯，也初步具备了一定的听说能力，有强烈的表现欲，善模仿、好表演,对英语学习兴趣浓厚，但不能持久。本节课学习的内容是What are they doing?前面的学习已经初步了解了现在进行时的基本结构，学生能够基本套用固定句型，模仿说出相关句子。根据他们的这种情况教学流程必须以浅入深,以学生易于接受和运用为主导思想。

三、教学目标

（一）知识技能目标

1．学习询问或描述他人正在做什么事情。

2学习核心词汇和动词短语

(二)能力目标

1、学生能够听、说、认boat chess row soybean milk drink hungry

2、能够运用所学句型和短语描述人们正在进行的动作。

(三)情感目标

通过创设和谐的氛围，让孩子们轻松愉快地学习英语，并形成良好的英语语感。

老师拿出象棋，教授chess及短语playing chess，利用大小声操练。
