Function: Describe routines Teaching points: Knowledge Amis:1、Vocabulary:up, hill, station, down,past,hosptial,stop,see 2、Sentences:---The train is going up a hill.
The train is going down a hill.
It’s going past a hosptial.
Ability Aims:Using correctly “going up”,
“going down” and “going past” in real context of situation.
Feeling Aims: Students like to talk about English. Teaching aid: CAI, CD-ROM, form, subject cards, toy cars
Step One: Warmer 1. Greeting:T: Hello,everyone!
Ss: Hello, teacher. 2. Do

T: Please follow me: up up stand up.down down sit down 3. T: Stand up ,please. Now, let’s listen and do actions:
Sometimes the train is going up a hill, sometimes the train is going down a hill. Now it’s stopping at the station. (Writing a hill on the blackboard and then teach “hill”)
T : Please follow me let’s go by knowledge train to learn M8 U1. And then , Children’s Day is coming. We’re going to go to Discovery Kingdom . Let’s go by train and describe the routines. During this class, If you’ve done a good job, I’ll give you a little train.
Step Three:Practice 1st listen and point:show the pointers and point 2nd listen and repeat:looking at the pictures and try to guess the meanings of the dialogue. 3rd

T: Look at the picture ,this one is “going up” and how about that one?
Ss: The train is going down a hill. T: Can you spell “down”?
Ss: d-o-w-n T: Say the sentences with your partner. (practice in pairs) (Find some students read the sentence good and play a game)

( Teacher put a hosptial sign on the desk and the students to be a train are going past a hospital) Ss: It’s a hosptial .
(study “hosptial”)
T: Where is the train? Ss: It’s going past a hosptial. (study “past”)

discovery kingdom. T: Look at the map from our school to discovery kingdom. Using your little train and saying it . Ss: The train is going …
