教学目标

(一)Knowledge and skills

1. Help the students revise and master the words and expressions learnt in the previous class.

2. Learn the grammar -- V-ing used as subject and object.

3. Improve the students’ ability of expressing themselves.

(二)Process and methods

1. Create contexts: help the students understand the words and expressions in contexts.

2. Set tasks: lead the students to finish the tasks and master the language.

3. Communicate: guide the students to communicate in groups to practice the learning material.

(三)Attitude

1. Learn from Dr Yuan and be students with devoted spirits and positive attitude.

2. Help the students to become a happy learner in English.

2学情分析

Students of grade one prefer to learn through pleasure, which benefits their development of study. They are supposed to learn well with the teachers' guidance and help. So in this class, the teacher try to make them interested in language learning by showing them pictures, short films and interesting context to arise their curiosity and creativity. Only in this way can they be good at learning languages.

3重点难点

1.Master the key words and expressions and use the v-ing forms as subject and object in contexts.

2.How to use the expressions and grammar points in describing person.

Present some pictures of students’ life in school to recall the words and phrases. At the same time, provides students with examples of v-ing used as subject and object.

Though facing difficulty, we would rather rid ourselves of troubles and struggle in our study to show respect to our parents .

Studying in Linnancang Senior Middle school is really inspiring.

1. Learn to understand English explanations of the words and phrases

2. Help students to fully understand the words and phrases mentioned in step one by giving the English explanations.

~ Use the words and phrases in describing Dr Yuan.

Task 2 First, ask students to say something about Dr Yuan in only one sentence.

Second, complete the passage about Dr Yuan.

Dr Yuan leads a simple life. He would rather work on the farm than have a rest. He has struggled for five decades to search for a way to increase rice harvest without expanding the area of fields. Thanks to the discovery of super hybrid rice, his dream of ridding China of hunger is realized . Now, he has another dream---to export his rice so that it can be grown all over the world.
