Unit 1 How tall are you? A Let’s learn 1．能够听，说，读，写形容词的比较级形式：taller stronger older younger 和shorter. 2．能够听，说，认读句子：I’m …cm tall. He/She’s …cm tall.并能运用这些句型来描述自己和他人的身高。

3．能够听，说，认读句子：You’re taller than your brother! I’m older than you !并能用这些句型对年龄和身高进行比较

能够听，说，读，写形容词的比较级形式并会在实际情景中运用。

能够用长度或重量单位对人，物及动物进行描述。长度单位CM的完整形式centimeter的发音也是本课时的教学难点。

Warm-up /Review 1.Hello, boys and girls. Today we’ll learn a new lesson.

Now, first I will ask you a question. Do you know who is the tallest one in our class? So, let’s learn Unit 1. How tall are you? And then you’ll get the answer. 2.Now first , let’s have a chant . If you can , clap your hands with the music. 3.Then, let’s do some review.

New lesson Words & Sentence. 1.

Today, I’m going to introduce you an athlete. Who is he? Do you know? Who can introduce him? …

Yes, he’s running very fast. But do you know how tall is Liu Xiang? He’s 189cm. (cm=centimeter)

Another athlete. We all know. He is Yao Ming and he’s a basketball player. He’s a basketball player from China in the NBA.

I want to know how tall is he? Who knows? Look at the screen. He is so tall. How tall is Yao Ming? He is 226cm.

Liu Xiang is tall. So Yao Ming is taller.(导出单词taller) 拿出单词卡片，折出er. 音频跟读。

将刘翔与姚明进行身高对比，引出单词than, 与句型：

Yao Ming is taller than Liu Xiang. (2)

Yao Ming is taller. So Liu Xiang is shorter than Yao Ming. 练习句型；A is tall than B. (3)

The boy is young but the baby is younger.

强调发音/ge/
