Using language Teaching design

1. The General Idea of This Period：

This period is about the useful structures ，

from the exercises in this period，

students can learn the grammar about the attributive clauses.

2. Teaching Aims：

(1).Learn some important sentence structure. (2）Help the students learn how to use the attributive clauses. （3）.Enable the students to learn how to make judgments and give their opinions.

3. Teaching Important Point：

Learn how to use the attributive clauses with that/which/who/where/when. 4. Teaching Difficult Point：

How to tell the attributive clauses with that/which/who/where/when/from other clauses. Teaching Methods：

Asking-and-answering activity to check the students’ answers of the exercises；individual，

pair or group work to finish each task.

5. Teaching Aids：

A multi-media computer and a blackboard.

6. Teaching Procedures：

Step 1. Leading in Look at the PPT ,ask students :Which one is Harry Potter? ( To attract students’interest) Step 2 .Explain what is attributive clauses (先行词，关系词，定语从句的概念）

Step 3. Have a try (锻炼学生对上述概念的理解和运用）

Step 4. Who,whom,whose,that用法区别

Step 5 .Which，

that 的用法

Step 6. 只能用that的情况

Step 7. Which和as引导非限制性定语从句的区别

Step 8. 如何选用定语从句的关系词

7.Teaching thoughts Students’fundation is not so good , so it needs more time and patience to instruct them . The content of this period is too much to them. After class, students should be encouraged to read more attributive clauses to understand the grammar .
