一、教材分析

本教材使用的是人教新课标模块四第三单元A Taste Of Humor 本单元的中心话题“幽默”。语言运用（Using Language）

部分旨在让学生运用本单元所学语言知识和信息进行读写综合运用。

二、教学目标

1、语言知识目标

熟悉幽默话题有关的词汇。

2、语言技能目标

1）培养学生语言表达能力：

2）培养学生通过运用所学词汇训练说跟写的能力；

三、教学步骤

Part one:

Lead-in Enjoy a funny story! 1

My uncle is sometimes very funny. One day my uncle saw a sweater in a shop window. Because it was cheap, he bought it .In the afternoon he wore the sweater and went out to work. Soon, I t began to rain. He ran into the house as quickly as he could, but he still got wet. The sweater on him began to get small. And soon, it got too small and my uncle couldn't take it off. At last, with my aunt's help, he got out of the sweater.

Part two:

Speaking (10minutes) Think of a funny story and tell it to your partner. While telling your story, use facial expressions and some acting to help make the story as funny as you can.

Part three: Speaking Ask one student to share his funny story. And teacher asks students to discuss if story is funny.

Part four: writing

Tips: 1. Mr. Hills buys a hedge cutter made in China. 2. It breaks down and he tries to mend it himself.

3. The instruction booklet says it should not be touched “without permission”.

4. He decides to get a new one so no one will ever know.
