ability of drama appreciation and try to act out their own new drama.

Teaching aids: PPT , Blackboard

Step 1: Lead-in and prediction Lead in this material by asking, “As a hungry person in rags, what will Henry do first? Where will he go?”

Step 2: Reading Read the text carefully, trying to find out and underline the words, phrases and sentences that reflect the attitude of the owner and waiter. Step 3: Appreciation

Enjoy the movie clip, and try to finish the following tasks. 1.

Whose behavior changes the most during this scene?

2.

Why do you think the owner of the restaurant gave Henry a free meal? 3.

Make clear and try to remember the conversation between the owner and Henry.(especially before and after the appearance of the large note)

Step 4: Dubbing Try to dub the movie clips according to the movie plots we have appreciated, students can use their own language.

Step 5: Acting

Group work: 1. What will Henry do next? Where will he go then? 2. Try to make their own drama out.
