Unit Two Sailing the Ocean

Instructional Design

Teaching Material Analysis:

The topic of this class is “sailing to oceans”. It consists of two parts:

listening and speaking. In the first part，we’ll listening to a dialogue and finish exercise 1 to 4 together. In the second part，we have a discussion and class debate to improve the students’ ability of expression. II.

Teaching Aims 1.

Knowledge Aims A. Encourage students to talk about cause and effect. B. Through the discussion, get students to express their opinion about the topic

2. Ability Aims A. Train the students to listen carefully for both key words and details. B. Improve students’ expression abilities

Important Points: Train students to listen carefully for specification and help them to finish the debate. Difficult Points: 1.How to make use of the listening materials for further understanding. 2. How to encourage the students to talk freely and actively. IV.
