A Lesson after Writing (作文讲评课) M2U1 Cultural relics （一）Teaching goals

1.Ability (1)To help the students to write a good composition relative to culture relics (2) To Enable the students learn how to use the words, phrases, sentence patterns properly in their compositions and how to design the reasonable structure of a composition. 2.Knowledge (1) Some useful words, sentence patterns for this class (2) Some linking words and phrases. 3.Emotion and attitude (1)Get the students willing to join in writing activities. (2)Develop the cooperative spirit and actively share their works. (3)Learn about something about Chinese traditional culture. （二）Teaching important and difficult points To learn how to design and write a good composition and how to write a unique sentence. （三）Analyzing learning condition The students are from Grade one in key Senior High School. They have acquired certain ability to write a composition in English. Besides they are eager to express themselves in English. As a result, I design some teaching and learning activities for the purpose of helping the students to improve writing ability and to get a better score in every examination. （四）Teaching methods 1.Guidance 2.Learners centered approach 3.Practice

Because we need a common language to communicate! We need English to show china to the rest of the world. We need English to absorb knowledge from all over the world.

I’m glad to receive the novel. Thank you for such a lovely gift as I have been expecting for a long time. This novel gives me some insights into American society and daily life.

I know you’re interested in Chinese culture, and therefore I choose an album of paper cutting for you. Paper cutting is a unique form of Chinese cultural relics, which is often used as a decoration for a joyous atmosphere. I hope it will bring happiness and luck to your family as it always does in China.

Instruct the students how to improve their ability of writing. This is a good passage

Because it is well-organized structure, no errors,no spelling mistakes, grammar mistakes What’s more, it uses some good sentence patterns for example “which is…”

“as we Chinese always do”. Then how to write a good passage. First what we do is “不错”

，

which means no errors in your sentences, in a simple word, your sentence is right not wrong. Second what we must do is “不断”

，

which

means your sentences linked logically and closely. In a simple word , our passage is logical but not loose. Last but not least , most importantly what we do is “不俗”，which means we have advantages over the others. In other words

our sentence is unique not common. For example. Look at this sentence. As far as I’m concerned, this sentence is common, almost everyone, most of us can write a sentence like this. This is not unique . Then how to be unique , here are some skills to follow. The first skill, “换中文” use the other Chinese words. The second skill“换词性”use the other characteristics

The third skill “换词语” use similar words or phrases. Take the same sentence for example

First, use the other Chinese words 我想到… I know…. We can replace it “考虑到…意识到…得知…”in English we can use “take sth into account, consider, allowing for, being aware of , learning that…Second, use the other characteristics ”

for example, “be interested in”

“interested is adjective ” we can change it into “noun” :”have an interest in show interest in take an interest in have a keen interest in”

Third, skill we can use similar words or phrases. For example “ therefore” we can replace it using …

“” consequently , as a result or owing to...”

（七）Reflection教学反思：本节课充分展现了“三三三”模式教学，突出了重点，难点，兴趣点。同时充分体现了老师的主导，学生主体作用，设计步骤明显突出“探，讲，练”环节。同时突出了英语学科特点。
