Learning aims(学习目标): 1.复习本单元三会、四会单词和词组younger, older, shorter, longer, taller, bigger, smaller, stronger, thinner, heavier.以及复习本单元的四会句型。

2.理解story time 部分的单词goalkeeper ,centimetres, catch, reach, teamwork, excellent,会运用句子How tall/heavy are you ...? I’m ...metres tall./I’m ...kilograms. What size are your shoes? Size....进行问答。

Important &difficult points(重难点): 1.复习并掌握本单元的单词和句子。 2.借助图片理解Story time中的故事。理解story time 部分的单词goalkeeper ,centimetres, catch, reach, teamwork, excellent,会运用句子How tall/heavy are you ...? I’m ...metres tall./I’m ...kilograms.进行问答。

Teaching steps: Step1. Warm-up 1. Greeting. T: How old are you? Ss: I’m... years old. T: How heavy are you? Ss: I’m...kilograms. T: How tall are you? Ss: I’m...metres tall. T: What size are your shoes? Ss: Size... 2. Play a game: Sharp eyes Stand up, say out the phrases on the PPT and do the action. Purpose: Review the old words and phrases, and try to create an active class at most here.

Step2. Lead-in Present the PPT about Story time. Look .Who are they? Yes, They are zebra, deer, giraffe and dog. What are they going to do? Can you guess? Please turn to page 11. Read the story and tell me “What are they going to do?” Now let’s read the

story. Purpose: Make the students to pay the interesting in the sentence of the story.

Step3. Presentation 1. Teach ‘goalkeeper’and ‘have a try’. 老师让学生回答刚才的问题，引出学生回答。They want to be a goalkeeper. They want to have a try.然后呈现单词goalkeeper和短语have a try.然后让学生操练句子I’d like to have a try. 2. Look at the video.

让学生带着以下问题去看故事，了解故事梗概。

Look at the video again and answer the questions above. 让学生再一次看故事视频，让学生深入了解故事内容并回答老师问题。

4.利用PPT展示本故事的句子，学生听录音跟读故事。

通过PPT展示句子，对于难点单词或句子标上不同的颜色并进行标识或中文，内容更清晰，让学生一目了然。

Zebra(斑马): They need a goalkeeper.(守门员) Deer（鹿）: I’d like to have a try. (试一试) Giraffe（长颈鹿）: Me, too. Dog: I can’t wait .(我等不及了) We want a goalkeeper. Zoom: How tall are you ? Deer: I am 1.8 metres. Zip: How heavy are you? Deer: I am 86 kilograms. Zip: Mr Zebra is 10 centimetres (厘米) taller than Mr Deer. Zoom: Yes, and he is stronger. But he can’t catch the ball. (但是它接不到球) Giraffe: I am the tallest one. Zip: Sorry. You neck is too long, The others can’t reach you. Football need teamwork. Hippo（河马）: What’s happening here? (这里正在发生什么) Zip : Oh, Here is the one we want.(这就是我们想要的那个) Zoom. Why? He is too heavy! Zip: We need a big guy!(我们需要一个大家伙) Zoom: Oh! He is almost bigger than the goal!(球门) Dog: Yes! He is an excellent(优秀的) goalkeeper. 小组合作阅读Story time，小组代表讲解，教师答疑，表演故事（时间允许的情况）

5. Make a suvey. Let students use the sentences “How tall/old/heavy are you? I’m .... I’m ...older/taller than you.”to talk about their ages, heights,sizes and weights with each other. Purpose: Presenting the teacher’s and students’

information can make the students get closer with the teacher and other ones.(板书)
