1. Importance：复习本单元的单词和句子。

2. Difficulties：能借助图片读懂Story time 中的故事。

Pictures ，VCD 1.课文挂图和配套VCD 2.单词卡, 3.录音机和磁带

四、Teaching Procedure : (一)

Warm-up: Sing the song : My small cat. (二)

Revision 1. 复习三会词：dinosaur, hall, both , countryside, lower, shadow, smarter, become

活动方式：读P54单词表。

2. 复习四会词：younger, older, taller, shorter, longer，bigger, smaller, thinner, heavier, stronger, kilogram （1）出示图片，学生通过抢答说单词，抢答到的学生还要拼读出单词。

（2）让学生说出这些单词的原形。

3. 活动：正反话。

活动方式：教师说一句话，学生要马上将这句话翻着说出来，比比谁的反应快。

如：T: Jack is older than Sam.

S: Sam is younger than Jack….

(三)

Presentation 1. 教学B.Let’s check (1) 让学生先观察这八幅图片。

(2) 教师播放录音，让学生勾出正确的图片。

(3) 全班进行讲评。

(4) 教师再次播放录音，学生将问题的答案写在书上。

(5) 全班校对答案。

2. 教学B. Let’s wrap it up (1) 看例子，小结所学的形容词比较级的变化规律：

a. 直接加er: tall, short, young ,old, long, small, strong b. 重读闭音节重书案写末尾辅音字母，再加er: thin, big hot, fat c. 把y改为i，再加er：heavy, happy (2)学生利用以上规律，独立完成练习。

(3) 全班讲评订正。

3. 教学C. Story time

(1) 师生对话，导入故事。

T: Do you like football? S1:Yes, I do. T:（出示球门的图片）What’s this? S2: It’s a goal.

T: Yes, it’s a goal. Who is often in front of the goal? Yes, it’s a goalkeeper. Look! What’s happening there? Yes, someone needs a goalkeeper! Then ,What’s going on? Let’s tead the story. (2) 学生阅读故事，了解故事大意。

(3) 老师播放课文录像，要求学生边看边思考：

Q1: Do they need a tall goalkeeper? Q2: What kind of goalkeeper do they need? (1)

学生阅读后回答问题。

让学生说说下列句子的意思，并模仿故事中人物的语音、语调读出句子：
