本课是新标准英语第八册第八模块第一单元。教学内容是Daming, Simon 和Simon’s即将要野餐，到了公园后野餐时间还没到，于是他们就打算绕着湖走一走，但是下雨了，他们躲到了树下，然后他们的野餐被鸭子吃掉了。这些事件的发生是按照先后的顺序进行的，于是他们在谈论的过程中就使用了“be going to”这个句子结构，最后具体地讲述了一个野餐的过程。

对于六年级的学生来说，以前曾经学过时间的表达，也学过一般将来时的用法，对本课内容有一定的语言积累，在原有知识的基础上进行新课文的学情分析

学习，能够达到充分理解和灵活运用的目标。但是学生阅读长篇课文的能力，以及在整个课文中快速找到问题答案的能力还欠缺，对课文的理解不能够完整而准确，需要方法指导和训练。

功能：谈论活动计划。
