Step 1. Warm-up

I will show pictures of some food on the screen, and ask students: “Do you like…… (meat, noodles, milk)?” Lead students answer: “Yes，I do/ No，I don’t.”

Then lead the topic of this lesson, “Do you want some rice?”

Purpose: The purpose of this step is to arouse the Ss’ interest of study, and at the same time the topic of this lesson is led naturally. Step 2. Presentation

Activity1: learn the new word Show pictures of rice, noodles and dumplings, ask students: what are they? Lead Ss answer: fast food. Then teach the meaning of it. After Ss master it, invite them make sentences with this word. Such as: I like fast food. Teach other words in this way.

Activity2: listen to the tape Listen to the tape recorder, while listening students should answer these questions: (1)、Does Amy want some rice? (2)、what does Amy want?

(3)、Have they got chopsticks in England? (4)、Have they got fast food in England? Let students listen for three times. For the first time, just listening. For the second time, find the answers of these questions. For the third time, check answers together. Activity3:teach the meaning of text

Ask students open book, and I will read the contents of Part1,then invite students try to translate the text sentence by sentence, when they don’t know the meaning, I will help them.

After Ss master it, ask Ss circle the main sentences in this text. “Do you want some……?

Yes, please/ No, thank you.”

“Have you got chopsticks in England?

Yes, I have/ No, I haven’t. ”

Then ask students read the text after the tape, and read together. Make sure their pronunciation correctly. And ask several groups to act the dialogues out with the gesture. To see which group do the best and give them a little flag. Purpose:

The goal of this design is to present the new words and sentences patterns through the tasks. It makes Ss improve their positive attitude of study, and master the knowledge actively. What’s more, let Ss get further understanding of the dialogues. The most important is to let them master how to use imperative sentences. Step 3. Consolidation

(1)、Replay game Teacher take out a picture of noodles, and ask one student: “Do you want some noodles?”

if him answer: “Yes, please”,

then give this picture to him, this student should ask the other student in this way... (2)、Sing a song Using the rhythm of “Happy New Year” to sing this song: Do you want?

Yes, please. Do you want some rice? (3)、To know the Western food Show photos of Western food, let students to know more about Western food and they often eat with forks and knives. Purpose: Through these two activities, student can master the new words and imperative sentences quickly while playing. Step 4. Homework Let students make a survey. To know what kind of food do your friends want to eat or not.

六．Teaching reflection

This unit is about the food. Through learning this lesson, students get further understanding of Chinese fast food and Western fast food. They know that we use chopsticks to eat in China, but chopsticks are difficult for foreigner. They often use forks and knives to eat.
