Learning about language

The General Idea of This Period：

This period includes revision of the text、learning about language.From this period the students will learn how to use some of the key words and expressions in the text and do some exercises for consolidation，and learn how to make up sentences with words and phrases. Teaching Aims：

1.Enable the students to revise the important words transformations. 2.Help the students to learn to use some new useful words and expressions. Teaching Important Point：

Explain and practice to help the students master some language points. Teaching Difficult Points：

How to master the usages of “as”

Write a passage using new words and expressions, enable students to use the structure freely and creatively.

Teaching Methods：

1.Task-based learning. 2.Cooperative learning. 3.Explanation and practice. Teaching Aids：

Greeting the students as usual.

Step 1 Revision T：Boys and girls，in last period we learned something about the history and development of computers.Now let`s revise the important words and phrases first. (1)

(2)引导方式状语从句“按照……的方式(办法)；如同…”

(3)引导原因状语从句“因为；既然”

(4)引导让步状语从句“尽管”

(5)引导比较状语从句，常用于as ... as ... 句型，“像……一样……”(第一个as是副词，第二个as是连词)。

Now write your own sentences with proper words and expressions. After you finish, exchange yours with your partner’s and check for each other. Pay attention to the form of the words. Then ask the students to write the sentences on the blackboard, then correct them together, and read the passage together.
