Cooperative learning: Pair-work and Group-work to practise the dialogue and create another dialogue. 2. Individual learning: write a short passage about Canada according to the prompt.

Teaching aids: A blackboard and a multiple-media computer.

Teaching procedures: Step1

Lead-in 1. Talk about the music that was just heard before class, then show a video to the students about the introduction of Canada. Step2

Speaking 1. Pair-work Work in pairs, imagine one of them have traveled across Canada. The other asks the questions about the trip. Qs: What impressed you most?

How did it make you feel? 2. Show another video to the students and give them a model about how to talk about their travel experience.

Qs: what do you know about Canada? 3. Group-work Work in groups, suppose they are the tour group to one of the tourist attractions in Canada. One is the tour guide, the others are the tourists. Step3
