教学重点：

能听懂、会说、认读表示动物和描述其特征的单词：

zoo,panda, monkey, elephant, big, small ,fat,thin

教学难点：

运用表示大、小、胖、瘦的单词简单描述动物的外貌特征.

教学过程

Step1:Greeting and Review 1、Hello！boys and girls！We learned some animals that on the farm. Do you remember them? 2、出示课件，用英语简单的和同学们进行交流。

I have some pictures，Do you remember the names of these animals?

提问：What's this？学生用It's a …回答。

以此回顾有关动物名称的单词。

New Concepts

1、揭示课题

In this class, we will learn lesson 7 At the Zoo.板书课题Lesson7 At the Zoo，领读课题。

2、导入新课

T:Do you know this picture? (电子白板出示zoo图片)提问：What's this? It's a zoo .板书：zoo.(教师从字母发音出发，讲授单词zoo,兼顾听说读写四个方面。)

教师以同样的方法出示熊猫、猴子和大象的图片，引出：panda，monkey，elephant。（这四个单词逐一出现）

学生拼读单词，教师结合字母及字母组合的读音规则，帮学生记忆单词读音，结合简单的动作激发学生学习英语的兴趣。利用多种形式读单词。

Stept3: teach“big、small、fat、thin ”

T:(出示elephant 和bird图片) The elephants is big.大象是大的。big, big, what does the big mean?(大的)教师手势演示大，帮助学生理解big.出示单词big,（教师板书并领读big）what does the big mean?

Ss：大的。

T:Yes.The elephant is big. What does it mean? Ss: 大象是大的。

T:Yes.Who can read it ? 学生读句子。

T:和大象相比，鸟的体型怎么样？

Ss：小。

T:Yes.出示单词small，（教师板书并领读small）。

The bird is small. What does it mean？

Ss：鸟小。

T:Yes. 教师领读这两句话，学生试读。用同样的方法讲解fat, thin.

利用多种形式引导学生读句子，进一步激发学习英语的积极性。

Step3:Listen to the tape and read it in groups. 1、Play the audiotape for part1 and part2 and follow along.Play it again.This time have

your students follow along and speak them.
