Lesson Nine
Teaching aims:
1. Read and understand the short dialogue and act it.
2. The student try to know how to buy something and how to inquire the price.
Important points:
The short dialogue

How to buy something.
Student analysis:
The students of Grade 5 have a certain foundation for English. They have learned “Can I help you?”“I want a ...”So, this lesson is easy for them. The students at this age are optimistic and positive,they are interested in the voice and animation,but they are easily distracted.So I set up two videos,some games,word cards and a beautiful song, to attract their attention and develop their interest in English.
Teaching tools:
ppt , word cards, trophy,toys,some notebooks
Teaching steps:
I.Warm up
1. Greeting.
2. Free talk:
How are you?
What class are you in ?
(Design intent:Review the knowledge we have learned before, prepare for the introduction of this lesson.)
3.Sing a song. (Design intent:to active atmosphere)
4. Chant (Design intent:to active atmosphere)
II.presentation
1. W atch video two times carefully.(Design intent:The students are interested in watching video.They are familiar with the person in the video.)
2. S how three questions about this short dialogue.
(Design intent: Try to learn the short dialogue according to three questions.)
3. W atch video again and try answer question 1,2,or 3.
4. T ry to learn new sentence “I want to buy a motorbike.What Can I do for you?”Practise.
A game. (Design intent: Attract students’ attention.To remember the knowledge easily.)
5.Extend.(Design intent: Try to improve the students` abilities of listening, speaking and imagine.
6.Yang Ming and his mother are going to buy some toys. Let`s go and have a look, OK/
Listen 2 times.
Follow 2 times.
Read in group.
Read together.
Read in role.
5. D o some exercises.
Check the answers.
(Design intent: Check if the students have learned or understood.)
6.Act it again. They can use the sentences they have learnt before.
