Lesson 11 What Do They Eat?

一、教材分析

本课围绕四种动物和讨论动物的食物这一话题展开。在学习这部分内容时,学生已有前面知识的铺垫,比较易于深入和扩展。本课的教学,与动物与有关,学生们特别感兴趣。本课的知识点是大部分学生乐于学习和接受的,相信他们会在愉快的氛围中感受英语之美。在认真分析教材的基础上,我针对三年级学生的实际情况,确定本课时的教学目标及重难点。

二,学情分析

三年级的孩子,已经学了一个学期的英语,他们学习英语的积极性很高,对新鲜的事物很感兴趣。乐于参与各种英语活动。但是他们还仅仅局限于单词和个别句子的认知和运用,所以要针对性的对三年级的学生制定教学目标,降低或者调整教学的重难点。让学生熟练运用以后,再逐渐的拓展一定的英语知识。

三、教学目标:

1.知识目标:理解并能够用“What do they eat ? ___ eat ___. ”进行交流,学习chant。

2.能力目标:通过参与学习活动,提高知识的综合运用能力。

3.情感目标:在情境中体会,激发他们的热情和兴趣,让他们了解动物们的生活习性,拓展他们的视野。逐渐渗透爱护并保护动物的意识。

四、教学重难点:

用“What do they eat ? ___ eat ___. ”进行交际会话。

Step1 Class Opening and Review

1. Greeting.Greeting with the students.

(1). Read the words and find.

[设计意图:学生边读单词,边寻找发音规则,并且按照发音规则补充完整最后一个单词。让学生在读中发现规律,在发现规律后能够运用到新词汇中。] (2)Sing a song.

[设计意图:以歌曲的形式回忆26个字母的发音,并且利用手势、动作,帮助学生记忆。]

3.. Game: show some pictures of animals, and say them quickly.

[设计意图:出示PPT,当动物的图片快速闪过,学生们抢答What is it?小组加分评价,激发学生学习兴趣。]

4. Drill.

Show a picture of the forest, Review Where does a ____ live? In/On a ______ .by writing this phrase on the blackboard and ask for volunteers to fill in the blanks. Ask the class to say the phrases.

Step2 New Concepts

1.look and guess

Show a picture ,guess, what animal is it?

S: It’s a monkey.

T: Look, the monkey is hungry. Do you know what monkeys eat?

S: Bananas.

2.Show a picture of bananas, read the sentence: Monkeys eat bananas. Read it some times.

[设计意图:以遮盖的形式让学生猜动物,激发学生的学习兴趣,集中注意力,引出新授内容。]

[设计意图:师生问答,教师问,让学生回答,教师在问的过程中,给学生演示问句,因为问句对于学生来说,比较难说,所以教师要先多师范,不要急于让学生来问。]

3.Show a picture of tiger, guess what tigers eat? Ask and answer: what do tigers eat? Tigers eat meat. Ask and answer with the partner.

Show some words about “ea”,teach the sounds of“ea”: meat eat read ...

[设计意图:通过新词的学习,总结ea的发音,教师对于字母组合的教授,有助于学生掌握词汇的发音规则。同桌互相问答,小组合作,让不会读的同学在同伴的帮助下再学一次,有助于学生更好的运用本课重点内容。]

4. Discuss the pictures.

C: It's a cow.

T: What is it doing

C: It is eating.

T: Very good! What is it eating

C: It is eating grass.

[设计意图:以不同的形式,比如,听声音猜动物,引出新的动物,讨论一下这些动物吃什么,并且给学生拓展还有什么动物吃草。学生会说出许多之前学过的动物,把新知识与旧知识相结合,让学生在不同的语境中多练习本课的新句型: What do ____ eat?]

T: Very good! A cow eats grass. What does a cow eat

C: A cow eats grass.

5.Play the audiotape as the students follow in their books.

C: Meat or A tiger likes meat.

T: What else likes meat

2.Pair work

Show a picture, there are many animals, what do they eat? Talk about it with your partners.

3. Play a game. Throw the river.

This is Lingling, this is her home, but there is a river, she wants to go home, let’s help her. When we answer a question, there will be a stone. So she can go home.

[设计意图:以帮助小女孩过河的游戏,再次复习本课句型,并且结合前几课的内容,复习动物的长相,居住地和饮食,给学生创设更多的锻炼语言的环境,并且三年级的学生比较喜欢游戏,让学生在游戏中快乐学习。]
