Mum: What do you like, Peter? Peter: I like melons and watermelons. They are sweet. Mum: Do you like lemons, Peter? Peter: No, I don’t. They are sour.

Mum: Let’s buy a watermelon and some small melons. How about grapes? Peter: I like sweet grapes very much.

Mum: These grapes are fresh and nice, I think. We can buy some. Peter: What are those near the melons? Are they grapes too? Mum: No, they are cherries. Peter: What’s in the basket, Mum? Are they strawberries?

Mum: Yes, you are right. Peter: May I have some? Mum: Sure. They are red. They are sweet, I think. Peter: Are there any plums here? Mum: Let me have a look. No, there aren’t. But we have much fruit now. Let’s go home, Peter. Peter: OK.

It is Sunday afternoon. It is sunny and warm. Peter and his mum are going to the

supermarket. They want to buy some fruit there.

Peter likes melons and watermelons. They are sweet and juicy. So they buy a watermelon and some small melons. But he doesn’t like lemons. They are sour. The grapes there are fresh and nice. Peter likes them very much. Near the melons, there are some cherries. They are small. In the baskets, there are some red strawberries. They are sweet, Peter and his mum think. So they buy some strawberries too. But there aren’t any plums in the supermarket.

At last, they have much fruit in the trolley (手推车). They go home happily.
