Theme:

Weather and favorite activity in seasons

Objectives:

New Standard English Module 1 Season and Weather Provider: Jiao Linjuan By learning this class, Ss can 1. master and use the key words to describe weather and activity: warm, sunny, windy, snowy, flying kites, running, swimming playing football, skiing. 2. understand and use the target sentence: “It’s sunny/ warm...” to describe each season’s weather.

3. understand and use the key sentence: “-What do you like doing in summer/…?

–I like...” to ask and talk about one’s favorite activity in seasons. 4. find the interesting activities in each season, and enjoy the activities in four seasons. 1. Master and use the key words: sunny, warm, windy, snowy, flying kites, swimming, running, playing football, skiing to describe the weather and avtivities. 2. Understand and use the expression: “It’s …” to talk about weather in each season. 3. Understand and use the key sentence: “-What do you like doing in summer/…? –I like...” to talk about one’s favourite activity in seasons. 4. To be able to choose your favourite season and describe it. 1. ask about weather:“--What’s the weather like in…?”

2. Understand and use the expression: “I like doing…” to talk about one’s favourite activity. 3. Understand and use the: “-ing…” form of verbs: swimming, running, and skiing to talk about one’s activity. Pay attention to the different form to plus –ing to verbs.

Procedures:

Step I. Warmer-up 1. Greeting.

T: Good morning, boys and girls.

S: Good morning, teacher. 2. Let’s enjoy a song: Four Seasons in a Year 3. Let’s think: How many seasons are there in a year? (设计意图:通过欣赏与季节相关的歌曲,活跃课堂气氛,同时从歌曲中的季节很自然地引入新课。) Step II. Presentation 1. Let’s guess: make riddles.

T: In this season, the trees are green, the flowers are colorful. We feel warm. Which season?

S: Spring.

2. Ask and answer T: My favourite season is summer. What’s your favourite season? S: It’s spring./ My favourite season is spring. 3. Design a situation: Let’s meet a new friend-Amy.

T designs a situation: Amy wants to find her favourite season. But she lost her heart. She needs our help. Firstly, she wants to know the

weather of each season. Here we go.

Reflection: 本节课通过帮助Amy找到最喜欢的季节这一主情境,带领大家复习季节的天气,季节的活动,最终学会表达自己最喜欢的季节。本节课一开始,第一个环节通过欣赏一首与季节相关的歌曲自然地引入主题,过渡自然,活跃课堂气氛,调动学生积极性。第二个环节设置情景,激起学生的好奇心,引导学生进行天气的复习,在复习过程中,通过大小声的游戏,让学生在轻松的氛围中反复操练,达到巩固的效果。然后跟随Amy,我们复习了天气的活动。首先老师通过问答形式为学生提供足够的示范

,最终放权于学生,让学生在生生问答中得到相互的评价以及提升。第三个环节进行了本节课的拓展。通过发散思维拓展了每个季节喜欢的其他活动,师通过引导鼓励学生学会表达自己喜欢的季节。然后让学生以四人小组的形式,在做中学,做中练。最终巩固拓展内容。第四个环节,通过欣赏一组恐怖的天气,提出问题,让学生在观看视频中通过思考找到答案,以此进行情感态度的升华,培养学生爱护环境的意识。本节课优点:1. 课程环节清晰,紧凑,目的性明确。2. 知识点层层递进,由浅入深,符合学生的身心发展规律。 3. 整节课过渡自然,氛围愉悦,让学生乐于学习。 4. 整节课情境贯穿始终,主线明确,让学生带着目的去学习,激发学生的求知欲。情境的运用也帮助学生培养语言综合运用能力。 本节课缺点:1. 拓展环节应该让学生思维发散,发挥学生的智慧,让学生学会举一反三。2. 板书可以结合四线三个,让孩子在感受单词的开始就形成规范美观书写的意识。
