(1)Listen to the recording and number the pictures.

(2)Ask several students to give their answers, then check the answers together.

2.Cross out the words you didn’t hear.

StepⅢ Presentation

1.Activity: Changes in me.

Ask several students to talk about the changes in them.

2.Let’s wrap it up

(1)Students work in pairs, talk about the changes on page 40.

e.g. It was raining. Now it is sunny.

It was an egg. Now it is a hen

(2)Pay attention to “was, is”.

3. Story time

(1) Observe the pictures together, guess the main idea of the story.

(2) Ask some students to read the passage by themselves, underline the

new words and difficult sentences.

(3) Watch the video and answer:

① What can you see in the passage?

② How did the world change?

(4)Teach the new words: cavemen, raw meat, whale, already, human, bright, future, heal. Explain the difficult parts at the same time.

(5)Play the recording, students read after it sentence by sentence, pay attention to the new words and sentences.

(6) Students read the passage in groups.

1.Finish the table: Past, Now, Future.

2.Think and say:

(1)Does the world become better or worse?

(2)What can we do to heal the world?
