Analysis of teaching materials In this text, students are required to read the whole text and then finish the task-based questions.

1. Guess the title to arouse students’ interest in the article. 2. Through reading, listening to the text and enjoying the video, students will be able to know a great woman, Jane Goodall.

3. Through asking some questions, students will think more about qualities a great man should be equipped.

Analysis of the students Reading is a difficult part in high middle school, students often can’t find accurate information and can’t fully understand the whole article. Also, students often can’t grasp the main idea and detailed information because of the words. Therefore, in our daily study, we will look at developing their reading abilities and enlarge their vocabulary. On the other hand, students should also improve their understanding of the text by reading some valuable and interesting article. The improvement of reading ability is a steady process during which students must have strong will to stick to it.

Learning objectives: 1.

To know about Jane’s achievements and her researches into chimps by reading and listening to the text; 2.

To conclude qualities of women of achievement. Learning important and difficult point: To conclude qualities of women of achievement.

Leading-in

Now let’s begin our class. Good morning, boys and girls. It is a fine day, is it? I’m very glad to have this glass with you. Before our class, lets enjoy a video. During the video, please pay more attention to woman, and what was she saying?

In this class, students learnt Jane’

researches and her achievements. In the class, some students are not so active and can’t be involved into the class and some time, students can fully understand my requirement if I speak English in the whole class. So in the coming class, we will practice more and try my best to give them a pure English environment.
