by doing a grammar cloze. Born in 1930, Yuan Longping is one of China’s most famous scientists (science). As a young man, he realized that hunger was a disturbing (disturb) problem in many parts of the countryside. Therefore, after graduating (graduate) from Southwest Agricultural College in 1953, he searched for ways to grow more rice. Having struggled for the past five decades (decade), he grows what is called super hybrid rice, for which he is called (call) the Father of Hybrid Rice. Thanks to his research, the UN has more tools in the battle to rid the world of hunger. Although famous and well-known all over the world, he doesn’t care about it. He still leads a simple life and is satisfied (satisfy) with it. With his two dreams, he still continues to struggle (struggle) for all the people.

To solve the problem, Yuan struggled to finding a new way to improve harvests without expand the area of the fields. Through many years of hard work, Yuan develop super hybrid rice in 1973. He became first agricultural pioneer in the world to grow rice who has a high output. Although Yuan is satisfied with his life, but he would like to have more freedom to do her research.
