Step 1 lead-in

Task1

let the students have a look at some pictures in our life.

Ask students to discuss what the underlined part acts as in each sentence.

Step2

Explain the use of v-ing form by showing some pictures and doing exercises.(Group work and Competition)

Task 1

Give students many exercises to make them master the v-ing form as subject and object.

Task2

Summary Some verbs can only use v-ing form as object, and ask students to recite the formulas, and then speak the English words. Task3

Game

Give students some words and phrases to make sentences (using v-ing form) to describe one of his/her classmates, and let others guess who he/she is. The mentioned one must stand up and make another sentence.

Step 3 writing

(Group work) Brainstorming Let the students brainstorm words and expressions to get prepared for writing.(using v-ing form). Work in groups and finish a writing by using v-ing form, While the students are writing their speech, the teacher walks around the classroom and help students deal with any problems that they may have. Step4 Post-writing

Presentation Ask three students make a speech of their writing before the whole class,and correct their mistakes in their speech . step 5 Homework
