教材分析

这节课包含三项练习。练习1是听前准备活动，要求看图讨论有关狂欢节的知识，在地图上找出Trinidad的地理位置，预测参加狂欢节可能遇到的问题。练习2设计了两位中国学生与两位外国学生一起参加狂欢节的情境，听完对话有两组问题，问题集中在参加狂欢节的一些具体细节上，如着装、饮水、噪声和约见的时间地点。练习3是综合创造性活动，假设学生参加了Trinidad的狂欢节，要求学生以打电话形式邀请朋友参加中国的节日，编写一段电话对话。

学情分析

授课对象是本校高一8班学生，该班有51人，大部分学生学习英语热情高，英语基础尚可，但英语听说能力，尤其是口语表达较薄弱。学生已完成对Reading的理解，对节日文化有初步的了解。学生能简单地表达自己的观点,但对陌生情境的语言理解和灵活使用英语解决实际问题的能力不足。学生基本会操作平板以及使用畅言智慧课堂系统。

教学目标

Give students the opportunity to practice a telephone conversation using the functional items for making phone calls, extending invitations, replying to invitations and expressing thanks. 教学重点和难点
