一、教学内容及学情分析

(一)教学内容

1.本课位于第四单元的第二课时,教学内容包括四会单词dear,ill,bad,afraid,worry;四会句子I’m ill today.I have a bad cold.并掌握表达不同病症的三会短语have a bad cold;have a fever;have a headache;have a cough,及三会句子Don’t worry about your lessons.I’ll help you with your English. 2.Let’s act环节。本部分的情景是朋友间打电话邀请一起玩儿,但因受邀者生病,不能赴约。对话围绕目标语言I have a bad headache / cold / stomachache / fever.展开,通过学生合作表演对话,培养学生综合运用目标语言及以往所学语内容Is that... speaking? Yes, it’s ... speaking. Can you ... with me? Sorry, I can’t.进行交流的能力。

3.元音字母O的发音规则,体会双元音/əʊ/。尝试朗读,感受押韵,培养语感。

(二)学情分析

1.在本单元第一课时19课中,学生们已经通过听说练习及表演对话等方式,学习了dear,ill,bad,afraid,worry的发音及含义,可以流利地听、说、读出这五个四会单词;已听、说、读过句子I’m ill today. I have a bad cold.但学生们还不会规范准确的书写以上四会单词及句

子。

2.同时,学生们在19课对话中也接触到三会句子Don’t worry about your lessons.能流利发音,明白其含义。对于学生们来说,在四个表达生病的动词短语have a bad cold;have a headache;have a fever;have a cough中,后两个短语,他们还是第一次接触。并且三会句子“I’ll help you with your English.”学生们还没有学习过,因此教师要设计相应活动,配合学生能流利听说认读该三个短语以及这一个句子。

3.五年级学生对英语保有浓厚兴趣,绝大部分学生养成了认真听讲,积极思考并回答问题的学习习惯,并能根据教师设计的课堂活动,做出相应的操练;但由于个别学困生的存在,在模仿新词新句的语音语调方面还存在困难,并且个别学生存在上课不注意听讲的情况。

二、教学目标

(一)单词:全体学生能借助教师从19课对话中着重标出的单词读出dear,ill,bad,afraid,worry的发音及并理解含义;能根据听到的音识别出四会单词;能在掌握语音的基础上

,准确无误的拼读单词;能根据中文提示或图片提示写出单词。

(二)短语:全体学生能借助图片知晓have a bad cold;have a fever;have a headache;have a cough的含义;能借助图片辨认并准确说出相应短语;能根据听到的录音准确复现短语,并根据录音准确无误的朗读;90%学生能准确无误书写。

(三)句子:全部学生能借助课文情境图知晓句子“I’m ill today.I

have a bad cold.”以及句子“Don’t worry about your lessons.I’ll help you with your English.”的含义;能根据录音,模仿句子发音,准确朗读句子;能根据听到的课文录音并联系上下文,填入对话所缺句子;能在“Pair Work”中根据实际情况,熟练操练。全体学生能在教师板书过程中,准确拼读并书写“I’m ill today.I have a bad cold.”,拼读“Don’t worry about your lessons.I’ll help you with your English.”,90%的学生能拼写出该三会句子。

(四)活动:全部学生能借助Let’s act环节运用短语have a bad headache / cold / stomachache / fever. 知识,并进行表演;全部学生能够理解歌谣含义,并跟随视频进行跟唱,找出含有字母o并且发音为/əu /的单词,90%的学生能借助歌谣联想出更多的含有o发音为/əu /的单词。

(五)人文素养:全体学生能养成合理饮食,加强锻炼,保持健康的行为习惯。

三、教学重点

四会单词dear,ill,bad,afraid,worry,以及四会句子“I’m ill today.I have a bad cold.”的听、说、读、写及理解运用;三会短语have a bad cold;have a fever;have a headache;have a cough,及句子“Don’t worry about your lessons.I’ll help you with your English.”的听说认读和理解。

四、教学难点

单词句子的音准,尤其是afraid,worry,fever,headache,cough的语音语调。短语worry about,help somebody with ...的理解、运用。

五、教学准备

PPT,Cards,Recording,Old or broken telephone.Video of chant. 六、教学过程

(一)Warm -up/Revision 1.Free Talk.Talk about when you go to see doctor. 2.Play the recording of Lesson 19,and ask students to listen carefully and read after the recording. (二)Presentation and practice 1.Learn the words. (1)Show the dialogue of Lesson 19,and ask students to choose the right words or sentences to fill the blanks after listening. Kate:May I speak to Miss Liu,please? Miss Liu:This is Miss Liu speaking. Kate:Good morning,Miss Liu.This is Kate._________.__________. Miss Liu:Oh,_______!Do you have a cold? Kate:Yes,___________________.I’m _______ I can’t go to school today. Miss Liu:__________________________.You should go to a doctor. Kate:Yes.My mum will take me to the doctor. Miss Liu:OK.Take good care of yourself.

通过填入19课对话中缺失句子,引入本课重点单词和句型。在联系上下文选词选句填空中,学生理解了词、句的含义。

(2)Underline the words “dear,ill,bad,afraid,worry”

from the dialogue, and play the words’ recording to ask students to read after. (3)Write the sentences containing the wors like this: I’m ill today. Oh,dear! I have a bad cold. I’m afraid I can’t go to school today. Don’t worry about your lessons. Ask students to read the sentences and then spell the words. (4)Show the pictures of the words and ask students to write the words on their desks and in their hands.

【设计意图】

通过环节(1)-(4),学生们在对话中理解四会单词的含义,并跟读单词录音学习发音;在教师板书并把四会单词用红颜色粉笔标出的过程中,学生学会拼读,并能根据图片提示在自己的书桌及手中书写四会单词。

Learn the phrases. (1)Show the cards “have a bad cold”,and the play the recording.Then,teacher read,students read after. (2)Stick the card on the blackboard,and let students read and spell. (3)The same with the the other phrases. (4)Match and read.Show some ill people’s pictures on the

PPT,and let students match the pictures with the phrases. (5)Erase the phrases,only keep the pictures on the PPT. Then,ask students to write below each pictures. 【设计意图】

通过环节(1)-(5),学生通过短语录音及教师示范,学会发音,观看图片理解其含义,并通过拼读操练巩固,操练短语的发音,使学生将短语的字形与发音建立联系,解决“音”与“形”。出示真实生病的图片让学生将短语与图片连线,将图片与文字建立联系,直观理解这四个短语,解决“义”。第五个步骤,将短语隐去,选择部分学生到PPT中写出短语,“写”整体反馈了学生对短语的掌握情况。

3. Learn the sentences. (1) Let students read the sentences on the blackboard. (2)Cut off the video of Lesson 23,and keep the last part(From Gao Wei said “I’ll help you with your maths”to the end.) Let students understand “I’ll help you with your English”. (3)

Write the sentence on the blackboard,and ask students to read and spell. (4)

Pair work.Show the illness(contain stomachache) and different subjects on PPT.Ask students to make a short

借助23课同学们看望Kate的场景,学习句子“I’ll help you with your ...”.由于本句是三会句子,所以要求90%学生学会拼写。在Pair work中操练巩固本课重点句子,促进理解运用。

(三)Production. 1.

Put “Let’s act”on PPT,and show the four groups one by one.(First group:Can you go and fly a kite with me? Second group:Can you play computer games with me? Third group:Can you go to the theme park with me? Forth group:Can you go to the library with me?)

Then ask students to act it with emotions using the telephones. 2.

Make up a new dialogue.You can use: Hello!Is that ...? Yes,it’s ... speaking. This is ...Can you ...with me? Sorry,I can’t.I’m ill today.I have a... Oh,dear.You should go to a doctor.Don’t worry about your lessons.I’ll help you with your ...
