教学目标：

1.学生通过阅读趣味故事复习巩固本单元所学的语言，并增加语言的输入。

2. 能在教师的帮助下阅读文本，理解故事的大概意思，能理解并朗读故事。

3. 能根据教材及相关知识把三种事物古今未来的变化改变成三个小语段进行介绍。

4. 培养学生学习英语的兴趣，养成保卫我们的地球的环保意识。

教学重点：

教学过程：

Step One：Warm up 1. Greetings. 2. Free talk. How did you change? How did our school change? (设计意图：让学生谈论自己的变化和学校的变化引出地球上事物的变化，为本节课的故事学习奠定基础。) Step Two: Pre-reading 1. Show the earth and teach the word “earth”. 2. What was on the earth many years ago? The students try to think and say

what was on the earth many years ago. Step Three: While-reading 1. The first reading: Read the story quietly and quickly, try to find out what the story is about. 1) Choose the best answer. 2) Check the answers together. (设计意图：引导学生使用略读技巧，以问题为引领,整体感知文本，初步了解大意,培养学生从文本中找出关键信息的能力。) 2. The second reading: Read the story again and try to fill in a table in groups. 1) Show the table. 2) Introduce cavemen and raw meat. 3) Look at the pictures of many trees and clean rivers. 4) The students read the story and try to fill in the blanks. 5) Check the answers of the blanks. Introduce the house robots, already, whales, bright future. (设计意图：引导学生运用精读技巧，并在小组中合作，进一步了解故事,提炼信息完成表格。

3. The third reading. 1) Listen to the tape-recorder and repeat after it. 2) The sentences: Heal the world! Make it a better place! 3) Read in groups. (设计意图：通过听读与朗读，纠正学生的发音和语调，达到正音、正调的效果。) Step Four: After reading

Choose one part and say something about it. (设计意图：让学生以小组为单位，选择自己喜欢的一部分介绍，培养学生的表达能力，交流能力，小组合作能力。)
