1、教师用谜语引入新课:I have a thing. It can tell us the months and the dates. What is it?引导学生回答:It’s a calendar.教师拿出日历说:It’s a calendar. Look! How many months are there in a year?教师帮助学生回答:There are twelve months in a year.

2、教师把1-6月英语单词写在黑板上,示范领读一遍单词,并强调January和February的发音要准确,适当纠音。

3、教师说:My birthday is in April.领读,检查纠正个别学生的发音。教师随后提问:When is your birthday? 领读,检查纠正个别学生的发音。然后同桌1、Greetings:T:Hello,boys and girls.

2、师生自由交谈:如:What day is today? What is your favorite day? What do you usually do on that day?

两人一组将黑板上的月份单词放入主句型When is your birthday? My birthday is in..中进行替换练习。

4、学生自读课文,在书上画出描述David和肖慧庆祝生日的动词短语。通过表述,让学生们总结东西方过生日时传统食物的异同。

5、播放录音,生打开书跟读Listen and say部分对话。

注意模仿录音的语音语调。

6、以全班、小组、同桌读的方式练习对话。

7、小组表演对话。 b. Listen, match and say 1、教师出示课文图片,问学生:How many animals are there in the picture? Who are they? What are the children talking about? 让学生看图,同桌讨论,然后回答:They are talking about birthday.

2、学生们打开书,跟录音反复诵读Listen, match and say部分的内容,然后做连线练习。

3、小组同学依次互问互答,检测答案。
