1、课程标准（考纲）相关要求

英语课程内容是发展学生英语学科核心素养的基础，包含六个要素：主题语境、语篇类型、语言知识、文化知识、语言技能和学习策略。其中，主题语境涵盖人与自我、人与社会和人与自然，涉及人文社会科学和自然科学领域等内容。语篇类型包括口头和书面语篇以及不同的文体形式，如记叙文、说明文议论文等。

2、教材分析

本单元的中心话题是“天文学”，内容涉及太阳系、地球上生命的起源、宇宙大爆炸、月球探秘、黑洞效应等。Reading部分题材是说明文，主要内容是围绕地球上生命的起源展开的，是本单元的亮点，讲述了地球上生命的起源和生物进化的过程。

3、学情分析

这个单元由于涉及到天文学知识，文科班学生们可能对宇宙形成、地球演变、生物进化等方面的知识有部分了解，但是学生们可能对这方面的词汇不是很熟悉，有可能造成讨论和阅读障碍。

学习目标

1、了解地球上生命的起源和进化过程；

2、训练学生的快读、寻读、精读等阅读技巧；

3、激发学生从英语角度对天文学知识的兴趣，培养其科学探索精神；

4、培养学生爱护环境、保护地球的强烈意识。

评价任务

1、通过fast reading 、careful reading部分习题，分析问题、解决问题，从而可以培养学生的阅读技能。

2、通过阅读天文学和地球上生命的起源等相关知识，进行关于保护地球的讨论，培养学生树立人与自然和谐共处和保护环境、爱护地球的观念。
