教学内容及环节: 1. Teacher show the pictures of the dialogue, let students observe, meanwhile play the tape, let children sense the content of the story. 2. Simple introduction about the pictures. In the evening, Micky and Mimi go and play in the outside. They meet a special bird Kiwi. Micky is not familiar with this bird. So he ask his name, and where he comes from. At last they invite Kiwi to go to the party. But Kiwi tells them he likes quiet atmosphere, so he doesn't want to go there. 3. Kiwi is a kind of famous bird. And it's the symbol of New Zealand. So in the oral English, Kiwi usually means the people of New Zealand. Its mouth is very long, and its swings have degenerated, it's very cute. Waikato is a famous river in New Zealand, and it's also the famous interests. 4. After telling the background of the culture, play the tape recorder, let children listen and understand the meaning of the story.
