Story time 二、教学目标：

1、知识目标: 1) 能听懂、会说、会读、会写词汇：farm, they, pig, those, cow, apple, pear, chicken, duck, orange 2) 能在真实的情景中运用What are these / those? Are these / those…?和日常交际用语Nice to meet you, Mike. Welcome to my farm. 进行交流。

2、能力目标:

能正确地理解并朗读对话内容，在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。

3、情感目标：培养学生关爱动植物、热爱大自然的情操。

三、教学重点：

1）

句型：What are these/those? They’re... Are these/those...? Yes, they are. /No, they aren’t. 2）词汇：farm, they, pig, those, cow, apple, pear, chicken, duck, orange

3）能正确地理解并朗读对话内容，在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。

四、教学难点：

1）通过学习Story time，能比较流畅地朗读对话，并能运用所学对话描述。

2）能在真实的情景中运用What are these / those? Are these / those…?和日常交际用语Nice to meet you, Mike. Welcome to my farm. 进行交流。

1. 听读课文录音三遍并试着跟读

2. 在课文中划出Mike在农场看到了哪些动物和植物。

五、教学过程：

Step 1 Warm up 1.

Let’s sing. T: Hello, boys and girls! Today we are going to have fun together! Now let’s start with a song-- Old MacDonald had a farm. You can sing and dance with me! Now, everybody stands up! (T plays the video.) Ss: ... 2.

Let’s guess. T: Good job! Boys and girls! We can see so many animals in that video. Are they lovely? Do you like them?

Ss:... T: Let’s play a guessing game about them! Ss: OK! T: First one, they have big noses. Do you know word “they”? What does it mean?

Ss: ... T: You’re clever! Follow me, they, they, they.

Ss: ... T: They are fat. What are these? Do you know “these”? Ss: 这些

T: Brilliant! Follow me, these, these, these. Ss: ... T: What are these? Who knows? Tim, you please. Tim: pigs. T: Yes, you’re right. They’re pigs. Follow me, they’re, they’re, they’re. Ss: ... T: (point at PPT to show them they’re = they are) they’re, they are. Ss: ... T: (fold the picture of pigs to show one of them) A pig, a pig. (un fold the picture to show two pigs) pigs, pigs. Ss: ... (T teaches cows, ducks and chickens in the same way.) 3.

Let’s chant. T: We have learnt so many lovely animals. Let’s make a chant about them. You can chant like that: (T claps hands and set an example.) these,these, what are these? Pigs, pigs, they're pigs. Just like that. Can you? Ss: Yes! T: Now show me your hands! Let’s chant! Ss: ... 4.

Let’s think. T: Excellent! So much for these animals. Do you know where are the anlmals? Ss: ... T: Yes, you can see them on the farm! Now follow me: on the farm.(Read for several times and put the title on the blackboard.)

Step 2 Presentation 5.

Look and say. T: Liu Tao’s grangpa also has a farm. So he is a farmer. Do you know “farmer”?(T put the hat on performing a farmer.) who wanna be a farmer and say the word? (T chooses three students to wear the hat and say the word farmer.) T: One day, two boys come to the farm. Look at the picture. Who are they? Ss: Liu Tao and Mike. 6.

Watch and answer. T: Good! They’re Liu Tao and Mike. They are on the farm. Let’s watch a cartoon and answer two questions: What animals can they see on the farm? What fruit can they see on the farm? Ss: OK！

T: Now, let’s watch! (T plays the video.) Ss: ... T: Who can answer the first question? What animals can they see on the farm?

Ss: ...

T: Yes, you are right! They can see pigs and cows on the farm. What about second question? What fruit can they see on the farm? Ss: ... T: Good! They can see apples and pears. (T shows the picture of apples.) follow me: apples, apples, apples. (T fold the picture to show one apple.) An apple, an apple. (T teaches pears in the same way.) T: Mike doesn’t know these two kinds of fruit. How does he ask? Open your book and turn to page 44-45. Read and find the answer, you can underline the answer.

Ss: ... T: Who knows the answer? S: ...(T teaches “Are these/those ...?””Yes, they are./ No, they aren’t.”) 7.

Game time T: Liu Tao’s grandpa plants lots of fruit, for example, peaches, apples, pears, oranges, plums, grapes, strawberries, watermelons. Work in pairs, guess with sentences”Are these/ those ...?”. (T invites two students to set an example.) Ss: ... (After the discussion, T invites several groups to check the answer.) 8.

Let’s read. T: Now boys and girls, let’s read the story sentence by sentence.

Happy reading T: Good job, guys! Do you want to choose a way you like to read the story? You can choose to read together, read after one, or read in roles. Work in a group of three and let’s read. Ss: ... T: Which group wanna read for us? Ss: ... 10.

Let’s act. T: Now let’s work in a group of three and act the story out. Don’t forget to act with your body language. Ss: ... T: Which group wanna act the story? Step 3 Consolidation 11.

Let’s visit. T: Do you want to visit the farm? Work in a group of four and visit the farm together. One student should be the farmer and the rest of you should follow the farmer and ask questions.
