interest in making judgement on a story. 2）Cultivate the students’ good habits of predicting before listening. 2.Teaching aids: Multi-media and a blackboard 3.Teaching methods: Task-based learning;Pair&group work 4.Teaching procedures: Step1 Lead in key words:prove;for example;agree with…. step2 skimming Read the passage and find out: what is a fact? What is an opinion? What is an evidence? Step 3 scanning
1)Read the passage and fill in the blank 2)Read the story again and guess it is a fact or an opinion. Step4 pre-Listening Let students go through the directions and exercises,guessing what the listening about. Step5 Listening Listen for specific information.After they check the answers in groups,report them to the class.Pause and repeat the key words and key sentences if necessary.(group work) Step 6 Assessment Tell each other a piece of news in our school and judge whether it is a fact or an opinion.
