Step One: Lead-in T: First, let’s enjoy a beautiful song. Then I will ask you a question. Which season is coming? Listen carefully! S: Summer is coming! T: Yes! Let’s sing with the song. Let’s sing together! S: OK! T: Show me your hands. Let’s clap together! T: How many seasons are there in a year? S: There are four seasons in a year. T: What are they? S: spring, summer, autumu and winter. T: Do you know the differences of the four seasons? S:Temperature and feelings are different.

We wear different clothes.

We enjoy different activities. Step Two: A story of a tree

T: Trees also put on their different clothes. Let’s listen to a story of a tree and guess which season is it. You can close your eyes. Class! What happens to the tree in this season? Can you tell the story to your friends? Let’s try to tell it together! Step Three: My Summer Fun T: Summer is coming. It is so hot. I like the fan This is a fan. I like to wear T-shirts and shorts in summer. T: What does Jenny / Li Ming like to do in summer? Open your books and turn to page 39. Ss: Jenny/ Li Ming likes to.... Step Four: Practice T: I like to eat ice-cream in summer. It is my summer fan. What do you like to do in summer? What do you like to do in different seasons? Step Five: Activity T: My favourite season is spring. It’s warm in spring. I can see new leaves. I like to ride a bike. It’s so fun. Please talk with your friends and fill in the blanks. Then write a short passage about your favourite season or your friend’s favourite season. Four students in a group, please talk with your groupmates.

Step Six: Enjoy the beauty of four seasons. T:Let’s look at some pictures and enjoy the beauty of different seasons. Spring is wonderful. There are many new flowers and trees. All plants come to life. Summer is great. I can see all things grow up. Autumn is yellow. It is the best time to grow up. Winter is white. I like the snow. It is clean and white.

Every season is beautiful. We should love and protect our nature. Step Seven: Homework Write a short passage about your family number’s favourite season.
