一、教学内容:PEP小学英语六年级下册《Unit1 How tall are you? C Story time》

二、教学目标:

1、能听、说、认读故事内容,理解故事大意。

2、能表演故事内容,并能把本课所学语言运用在真实场景中交流。

3、加强学生英语学习策略的培养,为学生的终身学习顶底基础。

三、教学重、难点:

1、能掌握形容词比较级的灵活运用。

2、在语境中理解生词goalkeeper、almost的意思,并能正确发音。

3、能够读懂、跟读和表演故事。

四、教学准备:课件、单词卡片

教学过程:

Step I Warming up/Pre-reading

1、Guide the students to free talk with the teacher.

(What's your name? How tall are you? How heavy are you?S1 is tallest of them.)

[设计意图:自由对话,不仅练习了口语,教师还有意识地练习了故事中的主要句型,通过3位同学的身高,渗透“tallest、almost”这个单词,在具体语境中了解单词意思,分化难点。]

2、Have students to watch videos and answer the questions..

What are they doing?

Who is he? He is a goalkeeper.

What should a goalkeeper be like?

Do you want to be a goalkeeper in the football match?Why?

[设计意图:观看足球赛视频短片,让学生了解“goalkeeper”这个核心词,并在这个基础上引入故事内容,复习知识点守门员应该具有的特长,为接下来故事教学内容的熟悉奠定基础。]

3、Guide the students to look at the first picture of the story.Ask them a question: Which animal do you like? Why?

[设计意图:引出故事涉及到的主要动物,让学生描述最喜爱的动物。]

Step II While-reading

Task 1 Listen and answer

1、Talk about Picture1. Try to guess who Zoom and Zip wants.

[设计意图:创设情境:动物学校有许多俱乐部,足球俱乐部就是其中一员,读第一幅图了解动物们想要应征成为足球俱乐部中的守门员。]

2、Listen to the dialog of Picture 1 and answer: Do they all want to be the goalkeeper?How do you know?

[设计意图:通过听读第一幅图的录音内容,引出句子,并对句子进行朗读指导,培养学生良好的阅读习惯和按意群读句子的能力。]

Task 2 Look and guess.

Have the students try to guess: Who will be the goalkeeper? Why? [设计意图:读故事前先预测股市,激活学生原有的知识,复习了比较级。] Task 3 Watch and answer.

1、Have the students watch the video of the whole story and answer: Who will be the goalkeeper at last? Why?

[设计意图:整体播放故事,了解故事内容,并回答问题:谁最后成为了守门员。通过这个活动,培养学生听故事、看故事获得主要信息的能力。]

1、Make the students know the meaning of “almost bigger than the goal” according to show them a picture.

[设计意图:通过课件展示一张精彩的图片:庞大的河马几乎把球网都覆盖了,直观形象地让学生理解“almost bigger than the goal”,并且由衷发出感叹。] Task 4 Look and guess

Show Picture 2- 4, ask the students to look at pictures and try to tell the reasons: Why can't they be the goalkeeper?

[设计意图:这个环节旨在培养学生读图获取信息的能力,并能够进行有序表达的能力。]

Task 5 Read and find out.

1、Have the students read about Picture 2&3 and find the reason:Why can't Mr. Deer and Mr. Zebra be the goalkeeper?

2、Have the students read about Picture 4 and find the reason:Why can't Mr. Giraffe be the goalkeeper?

[设计意图:通过形象生动的动作演绎让学生理解reach,“Your neck is too long, the others can't reach you.”同时让学生渗透理解“football needs teamwork”奠定基础。]

3、Have the students know the meaning of teamwork according to showing some pictures.

[设计意图:通过图片比较法,深刻理解teamwork,并且进行情感渗透,强调团队合作的重要性。]

Task 6 Look and think.

We know Mr.Hippo was the goalkeeper at last. So can he catches the ball? Can others reach him? So he is really excellent.

[设计意图:通过看图思考问题,总结出excellent。]

Step III Post-reading

Task 7 Listen to and follow the tape.

Task 8 Role-play the story.

[设计意图:通过模仿对话,进行练习,小组合作表演故事,培养学生良好的阅读习惯和故事表演的能力。]

Task 9 Think and answer

1、Retell the story and answer the questions:What have you got in the story?Are the advantages always good for us?

2、Listen to another story and answer.

3、Attitude decides everything.

[设计意图:提出问题,引发学生思考,并拓展另外一个故事,让学生进一步理解思考和交流探讨,培养学生的发散思维能力和综合语言运用能力。]

Task 10 Homework:

a.Tell the story to your parents.

B.Make a new story.

【设计意图:通过设计开放性作业,引导学生养成自主学习英语、用英语交流的习惯,作业有梯度。续编故事进一步培养学生发散思维能力,从故事中深刻领会其中包含的道理。】
