一、教学内容分析: Students learn about pet animals, and are able to use the sentences to talk about animals. 二、学情分析:
一年八班学生性格较活泼,开朗,喜欢上英语课,唱英语歌曲。班里大部分学生都能做到上课认真,积极思考问题,举手发言。有部分学生还是不愿积极举手发言回答问题,也较容易走神。班里的整体朗读不够整齐,需要改进。此外,部分学生的语音还需要纠正。
三、教学目标
At the end of the class, Ss will be able to 1.
Recognize and read some words: dog, cat, bird, rabbit, hamster, turtle, this, that, these, those, like. 2.Learn the key sentences patterns: What is this/that?-It is…., What are these/those?-They are…., I like…. 3. Use the sentence patterns to talk about animals. 3. Read the text . 2. Language skill语言技能:
Apply the sentence patterns to daily use. 3. Learning Strategies学习策略: 1) Recognize the words by singing and doing actions. 2) Read aloud to understand the whole paragraph. 3) Apply the sentence patterns to daily use through pair work.

1.Greet the class T: Good afternoon, boys and girls. What day is it today? How is the weather? How are you today? Are you happy?

T: I am happy, too. And I want to do some exercise. Do you want to do with me? Please stand up and face to your friend. I run like a dog. I fly like a bird. ….

T: Well done. Do you like animals? Our school is going to visit a pet shop. Please ask your friend these questions and find out whether they like animals.

T: Excellent. Does everyone like animals? I also like animals, and my favorite animal is a rabbit. So now let’s sing an animal song.

T: What animals can you see in the video? Do you like these pets? Which pets do you like best? Do you want to have a pet?

The teacher shows a picture of Pet Shop. T: Let’s go to the pet shop together. Before we go to the pet shop, let’s learn about some animals. Please find a friend, walk around the classroom, and then ask and answer about animals.

Guessing Game Now Let’s go to the Pet Shop together. Wow! There are so many animals! They want to play a game with us. We need to guess what it is or what they are. Are you ready? The teacher shows pictures of carrots, and some sentences: I eat carrots. I have big ears. I can jump. T: Do you know what this is? Can girls ask the boys? G: What is this? B: It is a rabbit. T: Do you like this rabbit? Who likes this rabbit? What color is it? Ss: I like this rabbit. It is white.
The teacher shows pictures of seeds, and some sentences: I eat seeds. I have a long mouth. I can fly. T: Do you know what that is? Can boys ask the girls? B: What is that? G: It is a bird. T: Do you like that bird? Who likes that bird? What color is it? Ss: I like that bird. It is yellow and black.
The teacher shows pictures of fish, and some sentences: We like fish. We can catch a mouse. T: Do you know what these are? Can boys ask the girls? B: What are these? G: They are cats. T: Do you like these cats? Who likes these cats? What color are they? Ss: I like these cats. They are black and white.
The teacher shows pictures of bones, and some sentences: We like bones. We can run fast. Students work in pairs and
