This is a common reading&writing-task class. I want to use the guided discovery teaching method to give students this class. After reading the passage, I will lead the students to find out some useful expressions and sentence patterns to express a person’s achievements. Then by using these expressions and use the text as models to complete a profile. My teaching purpose in this class is to lead students to study English on their own steps and help them to strengthen their abilities and stimulate their emotions to make cooperative and active study in English. In addition, English teaching is to develop not only students’ language knowledge and skills, but also their learning strategies, cultural awareness and emotion and attitude. The topic is about records of the athletes, I can seize time to encourage students to learn from these athletes and set their records in the future. This class is made up of two parts：reading and writing. This is the fourth period of this unit, which mainly deals with the reading abilities, writing skills as well as students’ emotion improvement. Students are hoped to train to know the useful expressions to describe the great person’s achievements and learn the great qualities from them. Meanwhile, students can have the command of the writing skills, such as complex expressions and changeable sentence patterns.

Senior Two students have a fairly wide knowledge of life and have mastered some skills of reading English. Besides, they have a good command of oral English. They are now becoming more interested in English study than one year before as well as more thoughtful when reading English than one year before. What’s more, they have built up some basic skills to make cooperative work or discussions. Most importantly, they long to build up their self-studying ability. 1．Get students

教学反思

In this class, I successfully carried out my whole teaching procedures one by one in closely relating to each other. Therefore, I reached my teaching aims on really good purpose in cooperative and harmonious atmosphere. The teaching difficult points and key points have been done really well , which I can know from students’ work.

After this class , what caused me reflect deeply is how to more effectively apply the information in the text to their own writing
