Free talk. T: What can you do at home? S1: I can clean my bedroom. S2: I can make the bed. Step 2 Presentation 1.
New words and new sentences. (1). Teach the phrases: make tea, make cakes, clean home.
T: What can you do for your grandparents? (Show the students some pictures and help them to answer with “I can…”) (2).Teach the words and phrases: an old woman, an old man, old people, weak, slow T:(Show a picture of Lingling’s grandparents) This is Lingling’s grandmother, she is an old woman and this is Lingling’s grandfather, he is an old man. They are old people. T: Are the old people strong? The old people are not strong, they are weak. T:Can the old people run fast? Oh, they can’t run fast, they are slow. (3).Teach the phrases: help old people on the road, make them happy
T: The old people are weak and slow, so they need help on the road. We can help them on the road.
