1. Ss自己观察主图，自读句子，再教读正音。

was/were …的使用，以及与before与now的搭配。课文讲述了人类的进步，但也不可避免的使大自然受到破坏和污染，动物们失去了家园，要求大家要提倡环保理念，从我做起，从现在做起，拯救我们的地球拯救我们人类。

3）看VCD理解并仿读故事。
