Learning about language Teaching objectives: After the class, the students are expected to

•

be able to identify ‘prep (介词) + whom/which attributive clauses’;

•

be able to write sentences that contain prep (介词) + whom/which

attributive clauses.

Teaching procedures: Step 1 Introduction: Grammar “prep (介词) + whom/which attributive clauses” (15 mins)

1.

Ask the students to read two sentences that they have read in the previous

units first, and then ask them to observe the sentences to identify Attributive

Clauses. ---This gift was the Amber Room, which was given the name because several tons of amber were used to make it. -- Later, Peter the Great , who was the king of Russia at that time, sent him a troop of his best soldiers.

2. Ask the students to read and observe more sentences and get the rules.

3.Get the students familiar with “prep (介词) + whom/which attributive clauses”

by giving them more examples.

-- Can you tell me something about the man for whom you are working.
