课 题：Unit5 Is May Day a Holiday?

教材分析：

本课为北京版《小学英语》四年级下册第五单元的第三课时，本单元围绕“节日及安排”这一话题展开，对话都是基于学生喜闻乐见的重要节日设计的，学生有较强的学习欲望。本课为中国传统节日——端午节，教师可以以端午节为基点向学生补充更多中国传统节日及习俗知识。通过本课的语言学习，让孩子在不同节日情境下进行恰当的语言交际以及在讨论节日及安排过程中，产生的延展性语言的理解及恰当运用。

学情分析：

四年级的学生已经学习过一些中西方的节日，对于节日这个话题并不陌生，大部分学生能运用简单的语言表达自己对于某种节日的喜好。端午节这一话题，学生之前从来都没有接触过，是完全陌生的知识，虽然话题贴近生活，但其中涉及到一些生词如special，

relatives，lantern show,，对于学生来讲有一定的难度。

教学重点：

1、能理解并运用本课重点句型“What’s special about this day?”

“In many places people eat zongzi.” 2、能正确、流畅地朗读课文对话；

3、能够深入了解中国传统节日，感受中国传统文化。

教学难点：

通过中国传统节日的学习，培养孩子语言的综合运用能力。

讲解方法：

通过任务开展小组合作学习，并以听说读写多种形式进行语言知识的综合操练。
