Book 9 Unit 2 Sailing the Oceans Using language-reading、speaking and writing 一、教学分析：教学内容分析：

Using language由两部分构成。Reading、speaking and writing是一篇以《叛舰喋血记》（Mutiny On the Bounty）为蓝本的船员自述。学生根据自己在阅读过程中提炼的内容，围绕练习1、2中Captain Bligh是否应该受到奖赏展开讨论，并以Report的形式将自己的意见和理由提交给上级。旨在训练学生表达自己的观点，并学会如何以书面形式呈现自己的观点。

二、教学目标

1、知识目标：掌握相关词汇和功能句式

2、技能目标：学会用英语写一份报告，提升学生的阅读和写作能力

3、情感目标：了解古今中外历史上著名的航海家和探险家，激励学生努力学习科学知识，为了人类文明做出贡献。

1、学生学会如何用英语写报告

2、帮助学生更加了解英语

3、提升学生的阅读和写作能力

四、教学过程：

Step 1 Lead-in Play a short video about Captain Bligh and then ask students to finish the blank after watching it. Step 2 Reading 1.

Ask students to read the passage by themselves and discuss something about the passage. 2.

Then ask students to share what they gain from the passage. Step 3 Speaking—Role play 1. Do you agree that the writer describes his journey as one of the greatest in navigational history? Give your reasons. 2. What kind of leadership qualities do you think Captain Bligh showed? Make a list of the qualities you think are important. Give your reasons.

Step 4 Writing: write a persuasive letter 1．

Write a letter to your leader explaining to him why you think Captain Bligh should or should not receive the medal. 2．
