教学目标:

（一）知识技能1.通过本课的学习使学生能够在理解的基础上复述课文。2.在阅读中体会并初步掌握生词、词组和句型的用法。

（二）情感态度

1.了解成为一个海洋冒险家的相关知识以及勇于挑战应具备的品质。2.鼓励学生打破“我不行”的心理暗示，让意念统领身体走出一条完美的道路

（三）学习策略 1.通过新词汇学习掌握速读、跳读和精读的要领。3.通过阅读让学生了解到阅读过程中有阅读障碍，不可求全责备，调整心态和注意力，通过读懂细节，推断隐含内容，掌握其大意，获取所需信息。

教学重点和难点:

重点：1. 了解说明文的文体特点并以此指导阅读。2.通过略读，导读，讨论，理解课文细节，理解词义，有效调动学生学习的主动性和自觉性。

难点：1.阅读技能的训练。2.学习有关海洋探险的词汇并加以在句子中的灵活活用

教学过程(Teaching procedure): leading-in(趣)---pre-reading(任务，铺垫)-while-reading

(表层理解、深层理解)post-reading(评价性理解)summary(阅读的延伸、综合运用语言的能力、文化意识策略) ●Leading-in(discussion):Show students pictures to let them know something about navigation .Some words may be used in this activity: latitude, at the mercy of, encyclopedia, exploration, celestial, equator, overhead, tide, knot, log, nautical mile, magnetic, reference, precise,portable ●While-reading: Listening(scanning/closing the book),此处把快速阅读与听力整合在一起，增大课堂容量，加快课堂节奏，提高学生的听力水平，培养快速获取所需的信息能力。

1.Listen to the tape. 2.Skim the text and find answers to the text. 1)When did early sailors have practical method of measuring longtitude? 2）Which is more precise and simplified, the astrolabe or the quandrant? 3）How did early seamen use weather during the navication? 4)What does seaweed look like when it is near land? 5)Where are we now when the North Star is along the horizon? ●Explain some new words and sentences in the text to smooth away the obstacle of reading.

●Post-reading: Do comprehending Ex.1.--5 ●Remember the new words and useful sentences the teacher explained 利用多媒体制作课件，增大了课堂容量，加大了练习的力度。也加快了课堂的节奏，该课例成功地运用了多媒体手段和有效网络资源开展学生的学习活动，生动形象地展示了“航海”的视觉效果，课堂气氛活跃，学生踊跃参加活动并取得了良好的效果。

●读前部分设计依据及目的：本部分根据学生的认知规律而设计，首先让学生借助图片了解航海知识，其次，让学生体验后让学生思考问题，这种方式由浅入深，由感性认识到理性认识，思考了解文章中提到海洋航行必备的素质，降低阅读难度，为下一步阅读理解做好准备。
