To Introduce a Place By Guo Xiaojia 一、教学内容分析(Analyses of teaching contents) 高考考纲的二十四个话题中“地点介绍”为其中非常重要的一项，所以本节课的教学内容将定位为怎样用英语简单介绍一个地方。

二、教学目标(Teaching aims) 1.Aims of knowledge（知识目标）

Get students to know the basic expressions of introducing a place in some common aspects. 2.Aims of abilities（能力目标）

1) Enable students to introduce a place using the given expressions based on the information they have found. 2) Get students to be familiar with these expressions and can catch the answers to some questions when others are introducing a place. 3) Students are to learn to combine some information about a place. 3.Affective aims（情感、态度与价值观

目标）

To arouse the competitive awareness of the students and improve their team spirit by doing the group work 三、学习者特征分析(Analyses of the students) 我班上课时气氛较为活跃，小组内的合作意识与小组间的竞争意识较强。所以我把基本的地点介绍表达方法先教会学生，然后提前安排每个小组需要介绍的地点任务，这样会降低学生完成任务的难度，同时上课的每个环节以小组评比的形式进行，相信学生的参与度会比较高。

(2) One student is to review the expressions of introducing a place

(3)The teacher is to lead the students to have relevant oral practice of the above expressions and teach the students to pay attention to the methods of combining different information. 设计意图：导入本节课主题；巩固所学的关于地点介绍的表达，同时顺便口头进行一个即时的训练以及渗透常用的信息合并方法（所给的例句都将为最后的写作作业服务）

Step2 Group Presentation of introducing a place 3—5 groups are to present their introduction. When one group is introducing, the other students should listen carefully and take some notes for the coming three questions about this group’s introduction. Each group’s presentation, question asking and self-conclusion and other groups’ question answering will be marked.

设计意图：让学生在准备和展示以及相互聆听中熟悉地点介绍的相关表达；展示后的提问环节也让学生关注了提问的方法；聆听的同学注意力会更加集中，同时学会捕捉和速记有效信息；各个环节的竞争机制会促使学生更加投入。

Step 3 Discussion One group’s introduction of “London” will be shown to all the students. Students are to work in their group to discuss about how to change this passage into a 5-sentence composition. 设计意图：让学生关注怎样合并信息，提升学生关于“地点表达”的实际写作能力。

Step 4 Homework—Writing 假如你是广州亚运会的一名志愿者，请你写一篇英语短文，向外宾介绍广州。

地理位置：广东省中部

面积：7434.4平方公里 (square kilometers) 人口：9,980,000 (9.98 million) 历史文化：不仅历史悠久,还是中国古代“海上丝绸之路(Silk Road on the sea)”的发祥地(birthplace);以“五羊”(Five Goats)为象征,以岭南文化著称. 气候特征：气候温暖，阳光充足，雨水(rainfall)充沛，年平均气温为21.8℃

风景名胜：旅游资源丰富,如著名的“羊城八景”

。 (Eight Scenes of Guangzhou) 设计意图：巩固所学表达并且进行实际写作的训练；同时这即是把上课所学习的例句组织成文，为学生降低了写作难度，提升了学生的写作兴趣。

七、教学评价

过程性评价：学生认真准备前置性作业，上课积极展示、讨论和探究

终结性评价：达到了学生熟悉并正确运用介绍地点的表达结构的教学目标
