教学目标

一:语言目标

1、词汇及短语:能听懂、会说、会读以下新单词和短语

an old woman, help the old people(them) on the road, make tea, make cakes, clean their houses, make them happy, weak, slow 2、句型:能用“What can I do?”和“I can...”为老年人提供帮助。

3、语法:can后加动词原形(在句型操练中渗透)

合作学习、讨论学习、探究和自主学习

三、情感态度和价值观

懂得关心、爱护、帮助老年人,能主动为他们做力所能及的事情。

教学过程:

一、Warm Up 1 Greetings 2 Play a game: I say you say and you do. (设计意图:回顾学过的动词短语,为之后开展的活动做好语言的输入准备。)

3 回顾I can...句型。

二、Lead In 1、Show a picture of the old people and teach 3 phrases:an old woman,an old man, the old people. 2、Talk about what can’t the old people do and tell Ss why(They are old,weak,slow,pitiful,lonely) 学习ea 和ow两个字母组合读音

(设计意图:充分酝酿气氛,让学生感受老年人的难处,他们也需要人们的帮助。) 3、引出标题句:What can I do? 教师带读。

三、Text learning 1、Ask and answer

Who are they? 2、Fill in the blanks,discuss and check the answers together.(talk about the details such as “ask”,”on the road”,”clean their houses”) (设计意图:整体把握课文内容大意,弄清课文结构。) 3、Play a game: I say you say and you do. (设计意图:操练短语) 4、Follow and imitate 5、Role play (设计意图:通过模仿表演,让学生有真实体验。) 6、Chant “What can I do? What can I do? What can I do to help the old people? I can make tea. I can make coffee. I can make cakes and make them happy. I can sing .I can dance. I can help old people on the road. And I can clean their houses.”

(设计意图:再次操练句型和短语,为后面的拓展练习做好语言输出准备。)

四、Pair work Make dialogues 以中秋节为背景创造对话

A: What can you do for the old people?

B: I can cook …/read…/make…/clean…/wash…for them. A: Good!/Great!/Good boy/girl! (设计意图:通过对话练习,帮助学生完善思维导图,拓展思维。)

五、Homework Let's write: I can_________for my old parents. (设计意图:由听说到读写的能力提升,并呼吁学生关爱老年人,从自己做起。)
