1. Knowledge aims：

Enable Ss to master the usage of the words and expressions above and use the -ing form as subject and object in the real situation correctly and freely. b. Help Ss learn how to use these words and expressions freely to express their ideas and use the -ing form as subject and object as they like. They can also practise actively and attentively so that they reach their goals. 3. Emotional attitude and value aims: a. To develop students’sense of group cooperation. b. Step1. Warming up

Warming up reading aloud the text A PIONEER FOR ALL PEOPLE Language is learned in context. So let’s first review the text learned yesterday by reading it aloud. Try to force out your English slowly and clearly.

Step2. Discovering useful words and expressions

Help students to fully understand the words and phrases mentioned in the text by giving the English explanations. In pairs do the exercises 1, 2 and 3 . You must finish them in 8 minutes. Ask three students to check their answers ,correct and slightly explain. Step3. Discovering useful structures 1.Read and identify Read the text about Yuan Longping again, Find sentences in this reading

passage containing the V-ing form. Read these sentences and analyze them.For example: In the sentence “Wishing for things, however, cost nothing. “the V–ing is used as subject.

It can be also used as object of the sentence. For example: Yuan Longping likes playing his violin.

2. Learn about The V–ing form as the Subject & Object together with students. 3.Consolidating by doing exercises To consolidate your understanding you will be given 10 minutes to go over exercises 2,3,and 4 on page 13. You may just write on your text book. I mean the student’s book you are working by.
