一、教材内容分析

本节课为高一英语必修二unit4 Wildlife protection 中的warming up 和pre-reading 部分，主要围绕Wildlife protection 这一话题材料展开，在课堂中向学生渗透关于保护野生动物和保护自然环境的德育知识。

二、学情分析

学生为高一学生，有一定的英语水平，感知能力较强。本课具有较强的自主情性，Wildlife protection 这一话题对学生有较强的吸引力，而且学生有较强的表现欲。因此只能设置他们感兴趣的活动，因材施教才能让他们投入到课堂活动中来。

三、教学目标（知识，技能，情感态度、价值观）

1、知识与技能：

学习一些与动植物保护相关的单词和短语；

培养学生的听、说、读、写能力；

2.过程与方法：

通过快速阅读、精读、达到提高学生阅读能力的目标；

通过小组合作、个人展示、个人和小组竞赛等多种机制培养学生运用英语交际的能力的目标；

3、情感态度与价值观：

通过讨论问题，让学生们懂得珍惜濒危野生动植物的重要性；

培养学生学习英语的兴趣和热情，树立一种保护野生动植物的意识；

四、教学重难点

重点：(1)与动植物保护相关的重点词汇；

（2）会用英语谈论动植物保护的相关话题；

（3）培养学生的阅读能力，如略读、细读、归纳大意和复述文章大意的能力等；

难点：提高学生的口语交际能力；

五、教学过程

Step 1：Greetings and lead in. Enjoy a video of wildlife protection to arouse the students’

love for animals and passion for wildlife protection. 设计意图：通过“播放相关视频——设问0.——回答”这一教学方法，让学生对野生动物有所了解，激起对濒临灭绝动物的兴趣，可以带有

好奇心的进入下一步的阅读。

Step 2：Fast Reading

Listen to the passage and then finish the following questions. Firstly, find out the main idea of this passage. A.Daisy had a real and wonderful travel and learnt a lot from it.

B.Daisy realized the importance of wildlife protection by travelling in a flying carpet.

C.Daisy talked with three wild animals in a rainforest and learned a lot. Secondly,do the following true or false questions and then correct them. 1.Daisy saw many antelopes in Tibet. 2.Daisy’s sweater was made of sheep wool. 3.Daisy felt sad when she heard the antelope was endangered. 4. Daisy would like to help the wildlife as the WWF suggests.

5. Daisy learned so many things in this experience. 6.This is a real story in Daisy’s life.

设计意图：通过带着问题听课文材料，快速查找文章重要信息的任务型阅读方法，考查学生对文章整体的把握，了解文章结构；个人竞赛机制的应用激发学生的竞争意识；听录音可以训练学生的听力，让学生模仿标准英语的发音和语调；

设计意图：通过小组合作探讨对课文深度挖掘，拓展学生的视野，让学生了解爱护野生动物就是爱护我们自己（Love the wildlife is to love ourselves!）

Task 4: Consolidation（retell the story）

设计意图：通过复述文章让学生复述文章内容，再现Daisy乘坐飞毯之旅，让学生明白保护动物的重要性。

Task 5:Group work 1.What kind of endangered animals are you most concerned about? 2.Why are they dying out? 3.What should we do to protect them?

I am most concerned about south China tiger. They are dying out because they are hunted for their fur and meat, and their habitats are badly destroyed. We should stop hunting them and protect their habitat. 设计意图：在学生充分理解文章的基础上，提出这个问题，可以激发学生的想象，让学生想方设法来帮助濒临灭绝的野生动物；同时可以锻炼学生相关话题的口语表达能力；

Task 6 : Homework 1.Collect the words and expressions related to wildlife protection. 2.Make up a dialogue or write a short passage using the vocabulary that you have collected.

设计意图: 把在课堂上讲解的内容以书面的形式展现出来，是对语言精确的要求，是加深记忆和理解的需要，是对课堂内容的补充，也是

对课程资源的循环再利用，从而在听、说、读、写四个方面都对学生进行了训练。
