Educator: Paul Procedures: (3min) Step 1 Greeting and free talk (3min) Step 2 Warming up Guess a picture that it shows two words of “patient” and “doctor”.

(8min) Step 3 Review Q: Do you remember what happened to the poor Andrew in the text? (Students will try to review the text.) Fill the blanks.(Students will have a short discussion, then check the answers together. The passage is about the story of Andrew.) (24min) Step 4 Topic learning( letter of advice) (1)

Students will read the introduction of letter of advice. (2)

Writing time for students. According to the text, students will write to Andrew and give him some advice for his recovery. (3)

Helping students learn about some words and expressions such as “sorry”, “worry about”, “rebuild one’s confidence”, “gentle exercises”, “healthy food”, and “recover soon”.

(4)

Helping students learn about some sentence patterns such as “You can...”, “You should...”, “I’m sorry to hear that ...”, and“ I hope you that...”.

(6min) Step 5 Showing students’ and one possible version, and do a short summary.

(1min) Step 6 Homework Students will be required to correct their works after the class.
