教学内容本单元选自人教版高中英语(必修)第二册Unit3 Computers, 中心话题是计算机发展, 课文按时间顺序，对计算机的发展历史进行了介绍，其中还谈到了信息技术的其他载体、智能机器人的发明等。但是文章所选语言材料属于科普类说明文，内容抽象，还有专业术语，因此要引导学生细细领悟。除此之外生词和短语有23个，因此文章较长，涉及生词较多，内容较为丰富。
